It hasn’t been more than a month that Huawei launched Nova 2i in Nepal, the company comes with new successor Nova 2S. Huawei, a Chinese phone maker unveiled Nova 2s at an event held in China on Thursday. The mid-range phone comes with near bezel-less display with huge RAM which makes multitasking as a cup of coffee.
Huawei Nova 2s runs on top of Google’s latest Android 8.0 (Oreo) based on its custom EMUI 8.0. It features full High Definition (HD+) display of 1080×2160 pixels with a pixel density of 402 PPI. The high-resolution display makes the phone superior on its segment. The device is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor. The same processor powered last years Mate 9 and this years P10 smartphones. Nova 2s is available in two RAM variant of 4GB and 6GB with 64GB or 128GB storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
Huawei is now aggressive on the camera department. There are altogether 4 cameras on the phone; two in the front and two in the back. In the main shooter, there are 16 and 20-megapixel sensors, with added RGB and Monochrome sensors, making low light photography even smoother with its f/1.8 aperture. On the front, 20 and 2-megapixel cameras are available with f/2.0 aperture.
To power up the phone, there is a huge 3340mAh battery inside it which is non-removable and lasts up to a day without any hassle.
Since the phone has two variant on the basis of RAM and storage, there are different prices for those two variants of the phone. The first one, with 4GB RAM/64 Storage version, is priced at CNY 2,699 (Rs. 43,000). The second one, 6GB/64GB variant is priced at 2,999 Yuan (Rs.48,000). Huawei has also released a special edition variant of the phone which is priced at CNY 3,399 (Rs. 54,000).
Huawei smartphones are available in every nooks and corners of the country. Nova 2i has set a footprint in the mid-range smartphones in Nepal. Huawei also claims that they are the second largest smartphone company in Nepali market. The previous version of Nova, Nova 2i is gaining a lot of popularity among customers. If everything goes as per the plan, Huawei Nova 2s will launch soon in Nepal.
