The number of fiber internet users in Nepal has reached 28 lakh 64 thousand in Nepal. At the same time, Dish Home FiberNet has continued its solid run as the second-largest fiber internet service provider (ISP) in Nepal. As per the report, the total fiber internet users in Nepal reached 28 lakh, 64 thousand, and 56. The figure increased by 73 thousand, and 852 from the previous total of about 27.90 lakh. With this, the country’s fiber internet Fixed Wireless internet penetration reached 43.23%.

ISPs in Nepal and their customer base
WorldLink continues to stay atop the ISP leaderboard in terms of user base. The Kathmandu-based private ISP boasts an enthralling over 8 lakh, 21 thousand, 954 unique customers. The company added a whopping over 10 thousand customers in a single month.
Dish Home is the second largest internet service provider in Nepal with over 3.17 lakh customers. Dish Home entered ISP service in 2020 and it also provides DTH service. Both operate under Dish Media Network.
Classic Tech remains one of the largest ISPs in Nepal with around 2 lakh, 88 thousand, 108 customers. The company added a decent total of around 3 thousand and 345 users in a single month from Ashoj. You can get up to 1 Gbps Tachyon internet from Classic Tech.
Subisu, another private ISP now serves over 2 lakh 84 thousand, 219 customers marking another increase in its customer base by almost 4 thousand during the same period. Like others, Classic Tech also provides high-speed FTTH internet packages with an option for a dual-band 5 GHz router. It’s the first to bring cable internet in Nepal.

Vianet closing in on the milestone 3 lakh customer mark
The private ISP Vianet boasts 2 lakh, 93 thousand, and 236 customers and is close to reaching the landmark 3 lakh customers milestone. Vianet is the first company in Nepal to launch an XGS-powered 2 Gbps fiber internet package. It’s also the first to bring many technologies in Nepal such as fiber internet, and IPTV.
Nepal Telecom (NTC), the only government-backed company on the list has made phenomenal strides in the fiber internet market in recent years. The company has increased its FTTH-based NT Fiber base to over 2 lakh and 65 thousand growing its subscribers by over 5 thousand during the period of one month. CG Net adds its own too
In terms of adding new customers aboard, CG Net brought 825 more customers to its FTTH network. The Chaudhary Group subsidiary now serves over 59 thousand new customers on its FTTH network. The company entered the ISP business in 2021 after not receiving a unified license for mobile service. CG Telecom has now lost Rural Telephone License as well which further raises the question of whether the conglomerate still seeks telecom pursuit. In the meantime, the fiber internet business is marching ahead with respectable figures.

As it stands, the ISP market is getting intense with each ISP trying its hardest to bring its best to the customers. But a focus on expansion quality of service, and customer care could play a pivotal role in amplifying an ISP’s value in the market. In the end, it’s all about the quality of service, customer service, and satisfaction that helps an ISP stand out.
